- The free plan gives you 1 export per month, clips up to 60 seconds, and the full AI pipeline (captions, b-roll, music, SFX). The exported video includes a small 'Made with Moonshot' watermark. Upgrade to Creator ($14/mo) or Pro ($39/mo) to remove it and unlock longer clips.

- Moonshot gives you a full multi-track timeline — not just captions on a locked clip. You can drag b-roll, swap stock video, adjust individual clip volumes, change color grades, and control SFX timing, all on a proper editor canvas. The AI handles setup; you stay in control of the final edit.
- B-roll is sourced from Pexels, which provides royalty-free stock video under the Pexels License. You can use exported videos commercially without attribution. Moonshot's AI picks clips by keyword, and you can swap any clip in the inspector panel.
- Caption styles are visual effects applied per-word: neon glow, highlight boxes behind text, kinetic pop animations, colour-shift on emphasis, and more. These go beyond just font choice — they change how captions feel as they're spoken. They're in active development and will ship as preset add-ons.
- You'll be able to drop a reference video — a creator you admire, a style you want to replicate — and Moonshot will extract the motion language: zoom timing, caption animation rhythm, cut style, and energy. That style then gets applied to your own clip automatically.
- Pro plan users can upload videos up to 2 hours long. Moonshot's AI identifies 5–15 self-contained 30–90 second segments that would work as standalone short-form clips — ideal for podcasts, lectures, and interviews. Each identified segment can be opened in the full editor independently.
- 1080×1920 H.264 MP4 — vertical 9:16, the native format for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts. The video is rendered server-side via ffmpeg in a single pass, so there are no re-encode quality losses.
- Custom music upload is on the roadmap. Currently Moonshot uses preset-matched music beds (one per style). All 23 caption fonts are already bundled and work in both the live preview and the exported video — no drift between what you see and what you download.
